Iran Today - Security of Persian Gulf

The US government which is the main perpetrator of insecurity in the region claims it wants to secure Persian Gulf and Oman Sea Waters. With acts of sabotage, and ever so obviously pinning it on Iran, the US has paved the way all the more for its forces and other hostiles to enter middle-eastern waters. In doing so, it has undermined Iran’s sovereignty and claim on the Strait of Hormuz. Iran has repeatedly suggested that the Arab states of the Persian Gulf should join hands and shoulder responsibility for the security of the Persian Gulf and do not allow foreigners take over. The Arab states to the south of the Persian Gulf need to raise awareness of the fact that Iran is not a threat but an important element for security in the region. The US which is seeking tensions with Iran has recently called for a coalition to secure the Strait of Hormuz and the Oman Sea. But so far no country has accepted the US’s offer which adds to the fact that the US is becoming increasingly weak. This happens after Iran captured the UK oil tanker for breaking the maritime law but previous to this the Iranian oil tanker had been seized illegally by the UK forces. They claim the tanker was talking oil to Syria but Iran denies that. This is while many officials from the EU have announced that the seizure of the Iranian oil tanker did not have any legal basis. In addition, Iranian military forces shot down a US drone which was illegally flying over Iranian air space. The US is said to take off the military option off the table apparently because it has come to a clear understanding that Iran has the courage and ability to confront the US military.
